Omar has been a creator all his life. As a playwright, novelist, songwriter and performer, his career has been an adventure. He’s a member of SAG with lots of film and television credits, an Equity stage actor with an affinity for the Bard, a published playwright, and holds a doctorate in playwrighting from BYU. A retired full-time faculty member at BYU-Idaho, he led the Children’s Theatre there for 20 years.
Lori began her career at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, as an 18-year-old novice. With a BA in Theatre Education from BYU, she’s spent many years directing Children’s Theatre, both with and for children. As professional storytellers, she and Omar have performed at festivals around the country, taught workshops, toured and had a good time doing it. As a solo artist, Lori has developed and performed two one-person shows. She took one to New York to the United Solo Festival, the other is currently in film post-production.
